LIFECARE (N.G.O.)

LIFE CARE (N.G.O.) addresses substance dependent individuals who use psychotropic substances and, in general, all individuals who confront either directly or indirectly, problems related to substance abuse. LIFE CARE (N.G.O.) is active on a number of levels regarding the confrontation of substance abuse: Prevention / Social Awareness – Treatment – Rehabilitation – Social Reintegration. Furthermore, it contributes to social research that concerns substance abuse individuals and their family environment and has developed, awareness and training programs for the public, and more specifically for health professionals. The objectives of LIFE CARE (N.G.O.) are to promote awareness and prevention programs regarding substance abuse towards the public, aid substance abuse individuals in selecting the best possible medical treatment, assist them in receiving psychological support to ensure rehabilitation and, to make social reintegration as smooth as possible. Of particular importance, is the promotion of the principles of volunteerism, in all citizens, no matter what walk of life, who wish to contribute their services towards the fight against drugs. Our efforts are realized within the framework of collaboration with local and international institutions, as well as with other non-governmental organizations that are sensitive to this global problem.
